The Fairy Tree

Original oils on A3 canvas.  This painting tells the story of the folklore behind the magical Hawthorn tree. It is thought that these trees, found throughout Ireland, are portals to the other world, giving fairies the ability to travel between these worlds.  The fairies represent guardians of these trees; they must be given the respect they deserve, otherwise terrible luck will befall you!
