Cosy Season

Cosy Season

Hi all,

Autumn is my favourite time of year; the colours are rich and vibrant, there is a crisp chill in the air and a feeling of nature beginning to rest and reset. It marks the end of harvest season and the beginning of the darker part of the year.  It may be getting darker and colder, but I always embrace this part of the year.  To me, it feels like a time to slow down, reflect and come together at home.  Many see autumn and winter as a time of decay, but I like to think of it as Mother Nature taking time to pause, rest and change into something brand new in the spring, and I think maybe we could take a leaf out of her book!

Maybe we should slow down too, pause, reflect and enjoy the magic of this time of year.  The world can feel so chaotic, especially in recent times and I think it is important, more now than ever, for a time of connection, one to nature and to each other.  We are bombarded with messages of consumption, to produce more in a shorter space of time, but we were not built for that.  After changing into this new chapter in my career this year, I have realised the importance of slowing down, that my worth isn't connected with the amount I produce or how many ticks I have off my to-do list.  I have spent this year meeting new people and creating new things and it has been so valuable in showing me how important this is for overall wellbeing.

You may feel like you have far to go, but I think it is important to use this time of year and reflect on how far you've come!  Celebrate the change in autumn, enjoy slowing down and take time to see the magic of the season.

Let me know how you embrace the magic of autumn.

Warm wishes,

Ciara
